WCS101 - West Coast Swing

Pre-requisites: None

Description: Smooth and stylish, West Coast Swing is danced to blues, R&B, funk, pop and even country music. WCS101 introduces the basic six-count patterns in West Coast Swing, including their footwork, timing, and lead/follow technique. We'll focus primarily on 6 count patterns that are the core of where the dance begins. We'll look at the connection between partners, the rhythm of the dance, and the transitions that create the flow of the dance. We'll introduce basic turning and spin technique and differentiating between turns, tuck turns, and spins.
