Argentine Tango - Beg. I
Pre-requisites: None
Description: Learn the authentic tango danced socially in the dance halls of Buenos Aires known as 'tango de salon,' considered by many to be the most elegant of all the original tango styles. You will learn the unique walk of tango, proper posture, the basic 6- and 8- count fundamental steps, ochos, turns and pivots, and how to lead and follow them. Also, you will learn how to navigate the dance floor and improvise steps instead of repeating fixed patterns. You will leave the workshop not only with the essential fundamental steps, but with exercises to continue to refine your technique.

This class series will start on Thursday evening, May 13, 2010, and will occur on 6 consecutive thursday evenings at 7:00pm, ending on June 17, 2010.

All sessions are to be held at Big Momma's Coffee and Espresso Bar located at 217 E. Commercial.

No new registrations will be accepted after May 13, 2010.
